Heat (DVD and Guide)
Students explore the basic source and properties of heat and its effects on substances. Convection, conduction, and radiation are ways that heat is produced and measured.
Objectives: Students will be able to define heat and list the six sources, compare Celsius (Centigrade) and Fahrenheit thermometers, define and illustrate the three ways heat travels (conduction, convection, and radiation), give examples of good and bad conductors, show how insulation is used.
